My Story
When the nickname Billion Dollar Technician first popped up, it wasn’t meant to be serious. Elliot described him as the kind of guy with a gold diamond-encrusted pinky ring, gold chains, a big cigar, and a glass of bourbon — more flash than substance, the kind of character who showed up to the job but never actually touched a tool.
That’s not me. I’m just a man in a van trying to make a difference. Over the years I’ve worked on systems worth more than most folks care to count — fire alarms, electronics, and enough wiring to circle the block a few times. And while I might enjoy the occasional cigar and bourbon, I actually roll up my sleeves and do the work.
On this site you’ll find:
- Real lessons — electronics and fire alarm tech explained straight.
- Some laughs — because without humor, this trade will wear you down fast.
- Stories from the field — the kind you won’t get in a classroom.
The nickname may have started as a joke, but it stuck. And now, I just try to live up to it in my own way.
